The 63rd Annual St. Louis Baseball Writers Dinner – January 15, 2023
The St. Louis chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America is pleased to announce the return of its annual dinner, which celebrates top Cardinals performers from the previous season and honors the legacy of those who have made long-lasting contributions to the organization.
This year’s event will be held at the downtown Missouri Athletic Club.
Proceeds from the dinner support the St. Louis Baseball Writers Foundation, which funds journalism scholarships and an annual internship for an aspiring baseball writer. A portion of each ticket is tax deductible.
Schedule of Events
Doors Open – 6:00 PM
Complimentary parking is available in the MAC garage (in back of venue). Check-in and coat check will be available in the first-floor lobby.
Cocktail Hour – 6:00-6:45 PM
Guests can gather in the Art Lounge for photos with select awards. A cash bar will be available for beer, wine and soft drink purchases.
Dinner – 7:00 PM
Guests will move to the Missouri Room for a plated steak dinner with salad and dessert. Coffee and tea will be served.
Awards Program – 8:00 PM
Current and former Cardinals will be honored with awards from the St. Louis BBWAA chapter. Interviews and roundtables with players will highlight the event.

VIP Event
New this year! For an additional cost, guests can enjoy a pre-dinner VIP event, as well as priority seating for the dinner and awards program.
Doors will open at 5:30 PM for VIP ticketholders.
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine will be provided in the Sportsman’s Club. VIP guests will then enjoy an intimate Q&A session with retiring Hall-of-Fame sportswriter Rick Hummel and Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol, beginning at 6:00 PM.
Dress Code
Business attire is required.
A suit, dress shirt (tie preferred) or sport coat/blazer, collared dress shirt, slacks for men. Dresses, suits, pant suits, blazer/slacks for women.
